Meaher State Park is a state park located in Spanish Fort, Alabama, a city in Baldwin County, Alabama. The park is accessed from the Battleship Parkway, also known locally as the Mobile Bay Causeway. A scenic 1,327-acre park located in Spanish Fort offering a retreat for residents and visitors alike. With amenities for fishing, boating and camping, nature trails for hiking and exploring, as well as picnicking facilities, Meaher State Park is both an angler’s dream and a camper’s paradise. The park has a 300-foot pier with a 200-foot “T” for your fishing pleasure.

Florala State Park is a 40 acre park that stretches along the 500 acre Lake Jackson, it offers camping, picnicking, playground, swimming, fishing, trails and paddleboat rentals. Water skiing and personal watercraft are allowed on the lake.

DeSoto Falls is a magnificent 100-foot waterfall on the outskirts of the charming town of Mentone, Alabama. Formed where the West Fork of the Little River plunges off a Lookout Mountain cliff, the waterfall is one of the most beautiful in the South.

The park was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) during the Great Depression and has been providing recreation for over 70 years.  The 22 acre  park offers camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, boating and picnic grounds.    The park is open daily from daylight to dark. Admission fees: $2.00 for adults, $1.oo for seniors and kids 12 and under.   Fishing is $2.00 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Additional Alabama State Parks

You can reach the park by calling  334-682-4838 or 800-252-7275.  This is a 236 acre park with a nine hole golf course, clubhouse, cabins, campground with bathhouse and laundry, picnic area with grills, pavilions and a playground.  The park has a boat launch, boat rentals and runs along the 22,000 acre Dannelly Resevoir, popular for fishing. Cheaha State Park is a 2,799-acre state park in Alabama, located in northern Clay and southwestern Cleburne counties. The park, which is Alabama’s oldest continuously operating state park, encompasses Cheaha Mountain, the highest point in the state. Park facilities include a lodge, restaurant, general store, campsites, hiking trails, and other amenities. Day-use: The park has day-use areas for picnicking, swimming, and fishing. Scenic overlooks: Cheaha Mountain is topped with Bunker Tower, a stone building with an observation deck on top. Near the peak, Bald Rock has a wheelchair-accessible wooden walkway that provides an overlook of the surrounding region.
