The Ghost of Highway 5
Highway 5 in Lynn Alabama is haunted by the ghost of a teenage girl who was killed by a hit-and-run trucker. Apparently, she travels up and down the road searching for her killer and has been reported to bang on truck doors in the midst of her searching. She supposedly steps on the side of trucks and peers inside the window to get a look at the driver. Not wanting to experience the sight of this angry apparition, many truckers bypass this stretch of road, choosing instead to take Highway 13. Truckers admit that driving down Highway 5 in a truck is chilling.
The story says many years ago, on a rainy night in Lynn, Alabama, a teenage girl was on her way home from prom with her boyfriend. Shortly after leaving prom, they got into an argument and the girl asked her boyfriend to stop and let her out. He did exactly as she requested, and she walked the rest of the way home alone. Unfortunately, the teenage girl never made it to her destination. While walking along the side of Highway 5, she was struck by an 18-wheeler.
