Hotel Finial in Anniston Alabama

The Victoria Inn, Anniston, Alabama

The Victoria Inn in Anniston, Alabama was once a beautiful mansion that has been transformed into one of the best places to stay in Anniston Alabama. It’s been converted into The Hotel Finial, a restaurant and hotel. Originally, the Main House at Hotel Finial was built as a home for The McKleroys, a prominent family in Anniston. Col. John McKleroy was an attorney and Counselor-at-law. John chose the location because it was the highest hill on Quintard Avenue and provided a beautiful view of the mountains and the city below.

Reports of the piano being played and footsteps in the main part of the building have scared more than a few visitors. Sometimes the glasses hanging in the bar clink, and a woman has been spotted on the upstairs landing. The Hotel’s restaurant is believed to be haunted by at least one spirit. Many guests, as well as hotel staff, have reported hearing footsteps not just in the restaurant but throughout the house. Music has been heard playing in the music room, even when it is completely empty. Many witnesses have reported seeing a female figure on the upstairs landing. There is also talk about glasses clinking just behind the bar. The ghosts are said to be that of the mansion’s previous owners.

Hotel Finial has been beautifully renovated with each detail of the rooms meticulously chosen by interior decorators and companies local to Anniston. A real jewel of Alabama, the Victoria Inn is one of the top choices of travellers including famous celebrities.
