Escambia County Alabama Map

Brewton, the county seat of Escambia County, Alabama, is the birthplace of the legend of Railroad Bill. Stories about Railroad Bill, an armed African American vagrant who rode the boxcars between Flomaton and Mobile, surfaced in 1895 along the tracks of the Louisville & Nashville line. The legend of Railroad Bill has been immortalized in song, theater, and fiction.

Valley Alabama

Valley Alabama is a city in Chambers County. Valley was incorporated in 1980 combining the four textile mill villages of Fairfax, Langdale, River View, and Shawmut. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 9,524. The city lies on the western bank of the Chattahoochee River, the state border between Alabama and Georgia.
