Dr. Metzger, who plead guilty to the charge of bigamy at the late term of the Circuit Court of Bibb County, was sentenced to the Penitentiary for four years. He is a Canadian by birth, of mixed blood, and married negro wife in Canada by whom he had seven children.  He deserted her and married a second wife, who is the daughter of a citizen of Bibb county, who was in Franklin, Ind.  A dose of “blue pills” administered from the muzzle of a good shot gun would have suited his case better.
