Hi Raymond,
Thanks for visiting and thanks for asking your question. We talked with the park personnel today and they told us the park has always been officially called “Little River State Park” but at some time in the past, the “Claude D Kelley” was appended to the name in honor of the genteleman that was superintendent of the park for may years. We were also told that older generations may still refer to the park by “Claude D Kelley” but new generations have always called the park “Little River State Park.”
Again, thanks for visiting.
According to this site, the Little River State Park is now
back to being the “Little River State Park””. Good.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does any one know who Claude D. Kelley was???????????
