Oktchayi

An Upper Creek town built along Oktchayi creek, a western tributary of Tallapoosa river. The town, mentioned as Oak-tchoy in 1791, lay three miles below Ka-ilaidshi, in the central district. Cf. La lo- kalka. Milfort, Memoire, p. 266. 267, calls the tribe: les Oxiailles.
