Wison Pickett was born on March 18, 1941 in Prattville, Alabama. He sang American R&B, soul and rock and roll. Prattville Alabama is home for The Cross Garden, Destiny Christian Center, Pueblo de Dios Hispanic Baptist Church, Pratt Mill at Autauga Creek and the Autauga County Board of Education School Bell. The “birthplace of industry” in Alabama was founded by Daniel Pratt and his factory supplied in Prattville supplied most of the cotton gins in the country.
